The Cosmos Hub is the centre of the Cosmos SDK ecosystem, an ecosystem with tools that make it easy to build new, custom-designed blockchains that are interoperable with others in the Cosmos network. The Cosmos Hub has broken the silos of blockchain economies by enabling assets and data to be transferred between blockchains. Staking Guide & Instructions

Stake your ATOM tokens in a few clicks by following these steps:

The easiest way to stake ATOM is via Keplr.

• ‍Head over to our validator.
  
• ‍Find Matrixed.Link in the Atom validator set and enter the amount you want to delegate.
• Click “delegate”.
• Remember to keep some ATOM available to pay for transaction fees.
• Click “delegate” and then click “approve” to approve the transaction.

Useful info about staking

• The Cosmos Hub's native token, ATOM, is used to stake, pay for transactions and to participate in on-chain governance.
• From the moment you initiate the unbonding process, it takes 21 days to unstake. During this time you will not earn rewards. When the process is complete, you can transfer/trade your ATOM tokens.
• A portion of your staked ATOM can be destroyed. There are two ways this can happen: If you delegate to a validator that is offline for over 20 hours (assuming a 7.22s block time), you will lose 0.01% of the tokens you have delegated to that validator. If you delegate to a validator that signs the same block twice with the same key, you will lose 5% of the tokens you have delegated to that validator.
• Your potential rewards depend upon validator performance. When your validator is down for over ~20 hours (ie. "jailed"), you will not be earning staking income.
• The new issuance ("inflation") rate is around 7% of the total supply. When under 67% of the supply is staked, the rate gradually increases to a maximum of 20%. When above 67%, the rate gradually decreases to a minimum of 7%.
